Game Begins
The hand begins when the Small and Big Blind are posted and Hole Cards (2 cards dealt face up to each player) are dealt, simultaneously. This happens automatically in each hand.
Pre-Flop Round
Now the Pre-Flop round (1st betting round) commences:-
You may-
- Check (pass, without raising a bet)
- Call (match a previous bet)
- Bet (raise a higher value bet)
- All-in (bet all your available chips)
- Fold (pack and leave the game)
Note: If a bet is raised you must either Call/ Raise otherwise you will have to Fold.
If your Hole Cards are:
- Pair (8,8 6,6 Q,Q), or
- Top hand combos (AK, AQ, KQ, AJ), or
- Connected hands (7,9 10,J of the same suit ).
Your chances of getting a winning hand are high and you must continue playing.
If your Hole Cards have a gap of more than five cards (e.g. A,7 or 2,8 etc.), you can consider folding at the Pre-Flop to avoid losing chips by continuing in the game.
Flop Round
Once all the players have acted the next round begins called the Flop.
Three community cards are dealt face up.
This is the 2nd round of betting.

The River
The last (single) community card is dealt and this round is called the River.
This is the final betting round of the hand.
If you have a good hand you can Raise a high value bet or go All-in to get a good payout from the Pot.
Note: if you don’t have a strong hand its advisable to Fold and leave the hand in order to avoid losing chips.
Showdown
Once all the active players have placed their bets, the surviving players’ cards are exposed and the winner is deciphered and awarded the Pot. This is known as the showdown and the hand comes to an end.
OR
If all the players Fold except one, that player is declared the winner by default:
- No cards are revealed.
- The Pot is directly awarded to him/ her.
- The hand comes to an end.
