Blind

If a player chooses not to view his/ her cards and still continues playing, they place a bet without looking at their cards. Hence the term- Blind.

  • Blind bets are placed to maximise the Pot which the winner gets at the end of the game.
  • Other players may view their cards instantly and if they have a weak hand they may Pack and exit the game. Hence, you may stand to win a hand even without viewing your cards.

Tip - If 2 or more players bet after seeing their cards, you must also see your cards and act accordingly.

Chaal

After viewing his/ her cards if a player continues playing, they place a bet known as Chaal.

  • A Chaal is double the value of the Blind.
  • Players may opt to place a Chaal 4x the value of a Blind.

Tip - If you have a good hand of cards, you must continue playing and betting in a hand.

Note - The decision to play Blind or Seen is completely at the disposal of the player.

High Card

  • When no winning combination of cards exists, the player with the highest card(s), wins.
  • This is a weak hand and you must avoid betting on it.
  • Packing and leaving the hand is the wiser choice.

Pair

  • 2 of 3 cards is a pair.
  • It’s a moderate hand and a common appearance in Teen Patti games.
  • Your chances of winning with this hand are good if you have a pair of 10, J, Q, K or A.
  • However, if more than 2 players are placing bets (Chaal) you should consider packing and leaving the hand to minimize the Chips that you stand to lose.

Color

  • Three random cards belonging to the same suit.
  • It’s a good hand and you may play for 2-3 rounds.
  • However, if other players at the table have placed more than one Chaal (bet after viewing their cards), ask for a Sideshow or Pack and exit the game to avoid losing Chips.

Sequence

  • Three consecutive cards in different suits.
  • It’s a strong hand and players can play 4-5 rounds.
  • However, if other players at the table have placed more than one Chaal (bet after viewing their cards), ask for a Sideshow or Pack and exit the game to avoid losing Chips.

Pure Sequence

  • Three consecutive cards of the same suit.
  • This is a very strong hand.
  • Play for at least 7 rounds to maximise the amount to be won.

Trail

  • Three cards of the same rank.
  • This is the best possible hand in the game of Teen Patti.
  • Play for as many rounds as you like to maximise the amount to be won.
  • Don’t ask for a Show unless, your trail is below Tens ( 10 10 10)

  • This is a compromise between two players, who have both viewed their respective cards.
  • A player can request a Sideshow from a preceding player only.
  • Once they agree for a Sideshow, their cards are revealed to each other.
  • The player with the higher hand continues in the game.
  • The other player is automatically removed from the game.
  • Sideshow can be asked only when there are 3 or more active players.

  • A Show can take place only when two active players are left in the round being played.
  • The player opting for the Show option, needs to place an additional Chaal (bet) into the Pot. This is done automatically in the game for players.
  • Cards of both the players are revealed and the player with the better hand is declared the winner.

Pre Betting Options :

Pre betting options are in place so that a player can make his/ her move even before their actual turn comes. This helps to speed up the gameplay and makes the game more exciting.

After having viewed your cards if you believe you have a decent hand and are certain that you want to place a bet you can opt for this.

If, before your turn comes you’ve decided that you want to Pack and exit the hand being played, you can select this option.

If you’re certain that you want to place a Blind bet, regardless of your opponent's action, you can choose this option.
