The forest fire risk index describes the development of the forest fire risk for the current and the following four days from a meteorological point of view.
The legend (arrow at the top of the map) explains the meaning of the colors and is opened by tapping.

The index is intended to support forest fire prevention and thus forms the basis for a forest fire risk representation harmonized at the state level. The local assessment of the forest fire risk can therefore deviate from this representation.
Further information can be found on the websites of the state forest authorities, which you can reach via Forstwirtschaft in Deutschland.

The grassland fire index describes the fire hazard of open, unshaded terrain with dead wild grass without green undergrowth. The risk level allows you to estimate what effects a fire on dry grassland (e.g. on railway embankments) can have over the next few days.
