On the map you can see observations issued by users of the WarnWetter app about certain weather events. These are basically differentiated according to type (symbol) and severity (color). On the right edge, you can filter according to the different observation types.

By pulling out the map with two fingers, a spatially more detailed representation is made possible. Tapping the symbols leads to the display of the detailed message. If observations are very close together, the messages in question are fanned out with a click and can then be selected with a second click.

Weather oberservations by users do not constitute official weather observations or warnings. The DWD carries out a technical check and a plausibility check, but does not guarantee the correctness of the user reports. Messages objected to by the automatic check are not visible to other users on the card. If an observation is obviously meteorologically incorrect or the content is offensive, the corresponding report can be marked using the Report a problem link at the end of the details. The relevant message is then checked again by quality assurance and, if necessary, hidden.

By default, the observations from the last hour are displayed. This is marked in color on the lower timeline. A larger time window can also be selected by swiping on the timeline.

You can submit your own report using the orange Record observation button. You can find more information on this in the info text of the message dialog.
